Jason Aldean New York reviews
Great concert, horrible venue
Jason Aldean was amazing, but unfortunately we missed the opening acts and had to leave early because of the traffic at the venue. The outdoor venue, The Pavilion at Star Lake, was mediocre at best. We left our hotel over (3) hours early because we had read prior reviews about the challenges with getting to this venue. We arrived at the exit turnoff at 5:45 p.m. and didn't reach the parking lot at the venue until 8:15 p.m., it was less than a mile from the exit! Luckily, we had splurged on VIP parking and were able to get in through a designated lane with paved parking, otherwise we would have had to park further out in a dirt lot. There were very limited food options, the restrooms were filthy (toilets overflowing, water everywhere!), and because so many people had gotten there earlier for the lawn seating, a lot of them were really, really drunk! I'm all for having a really good time and we love country music, but Live Nation and others really need to take a better look at this venue and make some significant improvements, especially with traffic flow and parking.
He's a good singer but the venue was not right
We opening two performers did a fantastic job. Sound quality for the venue was decent and lighting was decent. When the man act came on the volume got turned loud and you could not understand the singer. The light show that he played on was about 15 minutes in and I had a massive migraine. 25 minutes into the main event myself and my wife left because my migraine was getting worse because of the sound and the extreme lights. Is the light show was intended to blind the audience I'm sure it did at least a few other than myself.
The overall show was great but seating for the disabled was
My son who is definitely Jason Aldeans biggest fan has cerebral palsy and has vision limitations. We werent allowed to buy tickets on the bottom level due to him being in a wheelchair so we sat on 3rd floor. My son has vision problems and was unable to see anything toward the stage. Ge spent all night just trying to see Aldean.. it was something he had been so excited about for month's because Aldean has been a inspiration to him and gotten him through some really hard times and his only wish is to go to a Aldean concert and see him perform. They said he can't be on floor level due to safty but please tell me how getting on a elevator and going to top floor and elevator being your only way down is a safer option.if something happens there's no quick escape while waiting for a elevator. Very sad for my son whos biggest goal is to see his favorite country music singer perform
